Flex
Flex is Hamilton's on-demand rideshare service.
You can use it to get to/from Hamilton CBD on Friday and Saturday nights from anywhere in the city boundary. The smaller buses provide a more direct link to where you need to go and are based around your timetable, not ours.
On a Flex bus, you're likely to share your ride with others heading in the same direction. Bookings are made via the app.

Book your ride
Type in where you'd like to go, the number of passengers travelling and Flex will find you a ride!
Flex targets an average wait time of 15 minutes from booking confirmation, and you can book up to a month in advance.

Get to your pick up point
On average, you'll need to walk about 100m to your pickup point - a safe place for the driver to pull over. To ensure an easy journey for everyone, please be at your pickup point before your ride arrives - you can track the Flex bus in the app.

Your fare will be deducted from your payment method once your ride has been completed.
The CBD Night Service on Friday and Saturday nights will be $2 per person.

CBD Night Service (Friday & Saturday)
Get a ride from anywhere in the Hamilton City boundary to the marked drop off / pick up locations below in the CBD for the pubs, restaurants, nightclubs, casino, live music, sporting events, ten pin bowling, or movies and theatres.
Flex operates between 6pm-4am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Rides are $2 per person and you'll need to pay via the app.

Hamilton Airport
Need a ride between Hamilton central and the airport? Use Flex!
Flex operates between the Hamilton Transport Centre and Hamilton Airport seven days a week between 9.15am and 4pm.
Select 'schedule' to prebook your seat via the app – for only $3 each way – and your luggage travels for free.
Tip: Remember to select 'Hamilton Transport Centre' and 'Hamilton Airport' as your location and destination (or vice versa).
Please note that the airport service will no longer running from Friday 9th February. Bookings won't be available after this date.
The bus
Each bus seats 13 people, or 10x people with 1x wheelchair user.
They have comfy seats, seatbelts and a luggage rack.
All buses are GPS tracked in real time, and have CCTV – both audio and visual recording on board for driver and passenger safety.
Booking
You book your ride via the Flex app. Bookings can be made 7 days in advance, or right up to a few minutes before travel.
The CBD Night Service Flex gets you closer to your destination – with a corner to corner service rather than only stopping at bus stops – and if you’ve let us know you have a mobility impairment when registering on the app, we’ll make sure your ride is driveway to driveway. 
Fares
Fares use the Waikato zone fare system and payment is made at the time of booking via debit or credit card via the Flex App.

Bee Card
In the near future, we’re looking to introduce Bee Card on Flex. This means all BUSIT concessions will be available for Flex.
When Bee Card payments are available, you’ll have the choice to pay via the app or with your Bee Card on board – just set your preference in the app.
