NEW destinations. MORE service.
21 Northern Connector and 44 Pukekohe route and timetable changes.
From Tuesday 29 January 2019, there’s going to be significant improvements made to the Northern Connector service to better meet the transport needs of the North Waikato community.
Thank you for your feedback on how we can improve our bus service. As a result of this, the following changes will take place from 29 January:
• One bus will now travel from/to Te Kauwhata in the morning (leaving at 7am) and evening (leaving the Hamilton Transport Centre at 5.35pm) on weekdays. This service will travel via Huntly, Ngaruawahia, The Base, Transport Centre and terminate at the university.
• The Hamilton to Pukekohe service will now operate every weekday, a significant increase compared to the current once a fortnight bus. The bus will also now stop at the Mercer service station and travel a different route though Tuakau.
• The Huntly internal service will now run on Tuesdays and Thurdays, three times a day.
• The Huntly Assist and Horotiu Assist services will be combined into one bus route, and a double decker bus will operate for this service. Due to the double decker bus being unable to travel under the low bridge, this service will no longer stop in Main Street. Instead, this bus now starts its run at 3 William Street and also stop at 13 Hakanoa Street. For passengers travelling from Huntly, you must be at one of these two stops to board the bus.
There will also be minor timetable changes to the remaining Northern Connector weekday timetable – please check before you travel.
Please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org or 0800 205 305 if you would like to discuss these changes.
